Easter Egg Dyeing and Easter Baskets

After the church egg hunt, we headed home to dye Easter eggs, make a dessert for the next day, and make cupcakes to take to my sister's house.  Carter LOVED dyeing the eggs and didn't get all that messy except for the tips of his fingers.  Everyone wanted to get involved in the egg dyeing, and mom, Tyler, Derrick, and I had a "contest" to see who could make the prettiest egg.  Sadly, I had to go to church the next morning with green tipped fingers because of it, but it was fun!

What do you know, the Easter bunny came to visit on Saturday night while the boys were sleeping.  On Sunday morning, I told Carter that their baskets were on the counter and full of good stuff.  You can imagine what breakfast consisted of - candy, candy, and more candy, but it's once a year so I don't mind.  They each got goldfish, fruit snacks / roll-ups, M&Ms, and a Curious George movie to share.  It is so much fun to see the expression on kids' faces when they realize there is a surprise waiting on them!
