Carter & the Mower

Two nights ago, Dad had the riding mower out and decided to take Carter on a little ride around the cove. Of course, Carter loved it and the noise didn't scare him one bit. I love these pictures b/c you can see my dad smiling and having just as much fun as Carter!

Carter & Katlin - A Morning Swing

Katlin spent the night with mom on Sunday night so Lindsey & Scott could go to dinner and hang out with friends. On Monday morning, we took the babies up to Johnson Park to swing, slide, and play. I think we probably enjoyed it more than they did, but it's all about pictures and memories, right!

Katlin - don't eat that!

Double riding - we stood right beside them to make sure they didn't fall out!

Katlin smiling and just a swingin'

Still smiling :)

Carter says "Wheee!"

Shelby & Justin's Wedding Shower

This past Saturday, we all attended Shelby & Justin's first wedding shower. We had a good time and enjoyed the cake, company, games, and watching them opening gifts.

Carter in the High Chair

For the past couple of weeks, I have been putting Carter in his high chair in the mornings with a tray full of cheerios, puffs, or yogurt melts. This makes him happy and gives me time to get ready for work...a win-win situation!

I can't believe how big he's getting!

Savoring the taste of tasteless Cheerios!

Holding his own bottle...he is slowly needing Mommy less and less :(

First Bath in the Big Tub

While we were at the beach, Carter had his first bath in the big boy tub. Here are a couple of pictures my friend Ashley took while I was panicking about him possibly slipping and trying to hurry and bathe him!

What a cutie!

I love this one - he is such a doll :)

At the Pier - Our Final Night

We took one last walk down the pier and watched for dolphins, which we did get to see! Here is the last night vacation picture roundup!

Farewell Dinner - Tacky Jacks

For our last dinner on vacation, we decided to have Tacky Jack's. This place was only 0.3 miles from our condo, but we drove in every different direction and around the same block for 45 minutes! By the time we go there, we were all starving, but it was a good place to do the last dinner. The great thing is, nothing is crowded on Monday nights, and especially not at 5:15!

Oh no, Carter's getting eaten by the big fish!

He's still hungry and wants two babies!

Another Swimming Video

Carter had a big time watching Derrick swim underwater from one side of his float to the other...turn your speakers up to hear the laughs!

Swimming Again - Monday

Since this was our last day at the beach, we took Carter swimming again since he loved it so much the first day. It was overcast, which was nice, because we were less worried about him getting sunburned than the other day. It was no surprise that he still LOVED it!

Derrick & Carter - it looks like Cart is at swimming lessons!

Look at me, Mom!

The Little Zoo That Could

For our last full day in Orange Beach, we decided to take the boys to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. This is the zoo that Animal Planet has featured as "The Little Zoo that could" for a couple of seasons since Hurricane Katrina wiped it almost completely out. I can't tell you how excited Ashley and I were to go and take the boys to their first zoo visit ever, only to pull into the parking lot with only 3 other cars! We also managed to make it around the whole zoo and back to the car in less than an hour, and we even stopped to read signs. All this to say, that it definitely was "little" but super cute, and it was a good experience for the baby book!
