Final Christmas Post

This is the final Christmas post. We enjoyed all the time we got to spend with our families and can't wait to see how the New Year will treat all of us.

Savannah, Kirsten, Thomas, Carter, and Zack - just missing Emma.

Joey (Derrick's brother), Tom (Derrick's dad), and Diane - Derrick's soon to be mother-in-law

Thomas, Tom, Savannah, Diane, and Zack - Shannon's kids

Kirsten, Amy, Emma, Tom, and Diane

Carter (crying - we always seem to catch him doing this) with Diane, Tom, Zack, and Savannah

C&K - Naughty or Nice?

Of course, on Christmas morning, we had to dress Carter & Katlin in their matching Christmas onesies. They say "Naughty or Nice....Decisions, Decisions...." They were obviously VERY nice based on the number of gifts they received!

Propped up on MiMi's couch

Falling down on MiMi's couch

This one looks like Katlin is falling over and Carter is mid Christas carol

Size comparison - 11 pound Katlin and 15 pound Carter - she's catching up - check our her belly

A Carter & Katlin Christmas...

Here are some Christmas pictures of Katlin & Carter.

Carter and Katlin got rocking horses from Big Daddy and MiMi for Christmas. Carter's is brown and white and Katlin's is pink. They both move their heads, whinney, neigh, and make trotting noises. Here they are riding double on Carter's horse :)

Just some Carter shots

Just some random Sunday afternoon shots.

Carter passed out in Savannah's arms - she wanted to pretend she was asleep too!

Dedication Family & Friend Pictures

Here are some pictures from Carter's dedication - in our church foyer.

Carter's Dedication

On Sunday, December 21, Carter was dedicated at our church, Central Church. The dedication was wonderful and he did so good and never cried. Our Pastor has a booming voice and oil was placed on his forehead, so I was really proud that he was a big boy!

About to be handed over the the Pastor

Sorry it's blurry - but it just shows how alert Carter was!

Carter & His Bumbo

My Aunt Donna got Carter a Bumbo and Play Tray before he was born. He is finally able to sit up with assistance and really enjoys the view from the upright position!

A motion shot - I think he was falling down!

Look at the little fat roll - lap over!

Enchanted Forest

Before Christmas, Mom, Derrick, and I took Carter to the Enchanted Forest (where he got the Santa photo below) and had a good time. We stopped to take some pictures by the decorated trees because I have to document everything!!!

Carter with MiMi - she had to pick a cute tree to have her picture made.

Picture with Santa

On Monday, Derrick, Mom, and I took Carter to the Enchanted Forest at the Pink Palace. We thought it would be a lot more extravagant than it was, but we still had a good time. Carter actually tolerated being in his baby bjorn sling and looked at the lights and moveable figurines.

Mom and I really liked the gingerbread houses. We've made a pact to actually build one next year. We won't be entering any contests, but it will be fun nonetheless.

Carter did great having his picture made with Santa Claus. He sat there without crying and just took it all in. Afterwards, we took a few family snapshots with some of the decorated trees. I'll have that post up tomorrow!

Guess who's on the Naughty List?

The colossal meltdown of 2008, an essay in pictures.

Mother, I don't believe I like this tree, or this outfit.

Mom didn't listen, maybe Dad will.

Did you people not hear me - you took the tree away and put me on the couch, but this outfit is STILL on me.

Back to the tree....I wasn't messing around. You are about to get it.

There...have I made my point???

Failed Christmas Card Attempts

For two nights, we've been trying to get a decent shot of Carter for our Christmas cards. Every time we put him in his Santa suit or near the tree, he cries and cries, which makes Derrick and I scramble to try to get a decent shot while yelling at one another to make the baby smile already!

This one was actually a maybe.

Doesn't like sitting up with the presents.

Sick of the tree...

What are you doing to me!

I hate this!

Can't even look at the camera anymore.

Smiling at dad...not the camera.

Looking at dad instead of the camera....sigh.

Showing off his chins.

Startled.

Literally, the best shot we got!

Get me out of this outfit!

This present better be for me.

Thanks, mom, for cutting off my head.

Over it.

Wanting to cry.

Looking at Daddy so he'll pick me up.

Hey, I kind of like the view down here.

Nope, never mind.

Mom, I'm not old enough to stand up - hold me!
