Carter & Katlin - almost 6 months

Lindsey, Scott, and Katlin visited Collierville this past weekend. Katlin is getting so big, it's hard to believe she was under 4 pounds when she was born! Here are some pictures of the babies!

Little Crazy Face Maker

Carter has been developing more and more of his own little personality lately. He loves to make these dinosaur / dragon like squawking noises when he's playing and reading books. Earlier this week, we set him in the recliner in his room and gave him a book so he could "read" to himself. There will be video evidence shortly!

Sunday Video

As it has become tradition, I am posting a video for the week of Carter babbling. Derrick and I have both noticed how he is starting to really put sounds together, and sometimes inadvertently actually saying words. Of course, he has no clue what he's saying / doing, but it's sure fun to sit back and listen!

We hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day and have a good week. Spring is just around the corner and I can't wait to get Carter out for afternoon walks in the stroller!

Valentine's Weekend

We had a great weekend - pretty weather, taking Carter to the Circus, and a Valentine's date for Derrick and I. Here's a photo recap of how we spent our time.

Ride a Little Horsey

This is the rocking horse that my parents got Carter for Christmas. We try to let him "go for a ride" every night after dinner and reading books, and he really loves it. He was riding it last night with Derrick's assistance and laughing up a storm...so, just like he typically does, as soon as I got out the camera, he didn't laugh any more or really even look at me. Oh well, he's still the cutest little cowboy I know!

Five Months Old

Carter turned five months old last week - and he continues to grow, change, and develop his own little personality more and more each day. Here are some pictures of the last week or so at our house - we've gone from icy / snowy weather a couple weeks ago to 70 degrees yesterday!

On Superbowl Sunday, Carter tried his first flavored food - stage one sweet potatoes. He really liked them and was opening his mouth, flailing his arms, and kicking his legs for more!
