We had Cole's birthday party on Saturday, March 26, the day after his birthday. He had tons of family there, and Cole had a wonderful time. Like the birthday invitation photo shoot, he could have cared less about his cake. I ended up giving him some applesauce and crackers, and he was happy.
As you can see, the cake was fabulous, with Cole getting the top layer to "smash." Our wonderful neighbor, Lisa, made it for him, with the bottom and top layers white and the middle layer chocolate - something for everyone! The balloons were probably the biggest hit for all the kids - everyone wanted one to take home.
In terms of gifts, I had to do most of the opening, which was fine. Once I opened the first toy, Cole was fixded on that and just let me open all the rest of his gifts. He got sand toys, pool toys, puzzles, clothes, and really too much more to name. It was a wonderful day to celebrate our little boy!
