Carter & LuLu

On Saturday night, Katlin came to spend the night with MiMi and Big Daddy, and since we're stilling crashing there while our new house gets finished, both of the babies got to enjoy playing with each other. Since our trip to Gulf Shores, I have been calling Katlin LuLu for some reason. When I asked Carter on Saturday morning if he wanted LuLu to spend the night, he started crying!


At Firebirds...they were both eating so much bread we had to give them pacifiers to hold them over until dinner.

2nd Haircut

Last Wednesday night, Carter went to get his second official haircut from Camille. Here are a few pictures to commemorate...as you can see, he was holding onto Mommy for dear life!

13 Months

Here are a couple of pictures from last weekend. I was trying to get Derrick to take a decent picture of Carter and I (since almost every picture on here is just Carter or Carter and Derrick) but this is what we ended up with!


I guess it's more fun to look at Mommy's smile than to smile at the camera yourself!


Rolling around on the floor - he loves to be tickled, and I think I was just about to get him in this picture.

Walking

Carter is officially WALKING! He figured it out and is on the move everywhere - around the living room, up the steps, and from person to person...or dog! He has to have his arms out, up, or sideways to balance, but it doesn't really slow him down :)

Walking & Talking!

Carter is officially walking - at 13 months - and he can get from one side of the room to the other and can also turn and go a different direction. If he falls down, he will then crawl (I think just to get there faster) but he will walk from one piece of furniture to another or person to person with ease. It is amazing how this little big guy was my tiny baby just a year ago...my how time flies!

He is also saying tons of new words and repeating after us all the time. Some things he has said recently are:

• Good Job!
• Houseshoe
• Thank you
• Sox (my parent's dog)
• Outside
• Ash
• Shh!
• Bite
• Eat
• Drink
• Hot
• And I'm sure lots more than I can't remember...he is turning into a little boy so fast!

Gulf Shores - Final Set

On our last night in Gulf Shores, we took the kids down to the beach for some pictures. They did a little outfit change in the middle into their matching Gap track suits, and I think the pictures turned out really cute. Unfortunately, when we first got down there my camera lens was foggy, so the pictures didn't turn out that well....I had no clue until I downloaded them a few days later. I wish the first ones would have turned out better, but we still got plenty of good shots.

Gulf Shores - Part 3

On Monday night, we ate dinner at LuLu's - Jimmy Buffet's sister's restaurant on the water. They had a band, a cute gift shop, and little games kids and families could play. Carter and Katlin did great during the 45 minute wait but when we were seated, neither one wanted to stay in their high chairs. It will be nice when they get a little older and can understand that you have to wait for your food to arrive!

Gulf Shores - Part 2
